Holiday raffle ideas
- Hamper raffle: one big basket from donated items; a single prize line on the ticket.
- Twelve days of prizes: number your prizes and draw one stub for each.
- Office party draw: small ticket prices, prizes from the team, the draw just before the speeches.
- Christmas fair: sell tickets at the entrance; draw at the end of the day so people stay.
Making them look festive
Lucky green or Ticket red both print well on white or red card. On a home printer, the ink saver theme on red or green coloured paper is the cheapest festive option.
Questions
What prizes work for a Christmas raffle?
Hampers, a bottle and a box of chocolates, gift cards from local shops, a wreath, a turkey or a cake from a local bakery, and a few small prizes so more people win. List the top prize on the ticket and write “and more prizes” for the rest.
Can I sell tickets at the office party?
Yes, if workplace rules and local raffle rules allow it. Keep prices small, collect money in one envelope, and draw before people start leaving.
When should I print the tickets?
Print two or three weeks before the event, so tickets can be sold at school gates, after services or around the office. Bring a spare sheet to the event itself.
How does the numbering work?
Enter the first number and how many tickets you need. Each ticket and its stub get the same number, counting up by one with no gaps or repeats. Add leading zeros (001, 0001), a prefix such as “A-” or a suffix, and the preview shows the result before you print.
What paper should I use?
Plain printer paper works. Card stock (about 65 lb / 176 g/m²) feels more like a real ticket and tears more cleanly at the fold. Coloured paper with the ink saver theme is a cheap way to tell different draws apart.
Is it really free?
Yes. Up to 50 numbered tickets per PDF, every free colour theme, stubs, every layout, PDF download and printing are free, with no account. Free pages carry one small line at the bottom saying where they were made.
